Jenny Stepp, M.A., L.C.P.C.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor certified by the State of Nevada.  I work with people struggling with the challenges of life. I have over a decade of experience providing supportive counseling services to a diverse group of clients and have been in the mental health field for over 16 years.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. I graduated from Seattle University with my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2004.

After leaving Seattle, I moved to sunny Las Vegas where I have worked in a variety of counseling settings from drug and alcohol treatment, to college counseling, to Christian counseling, and non-profit counseling.  I have experience working with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger management, transitions, self-esteem, grief and loss, addictions, relationship issues, sexual abuse, stress management, divorce recovery, binge eating disorder, life coaching, and career counseling. I have witnessed the sacred, courageous work of people struggling through the dark times who have later come out feeling renewed, empowered, and healthier than ever.

Therapeutically, I draw from a number of treatment models to fit the unique needs and goals of each individual. I oftentimes utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because I believe that people have the ability to change by uncovering and challenging the irrational beliefs and self-destructive thoughts that contribute to their presenting concerns. Furthermore, this model tends to be time-limited and focuses on specific, healthy strategies that clients can use outside of therapy, which fits with today’s active and fast-paced lifestyle.

I also value personal authenticity and individuality.  All clients deserve empathy, respect, support, and compassion. My commitment is to walk alongside you as you journey toward becoming your best self.
